Dr. Goetz grew up aspiring to play professional baseball. After his career came to a transitional phase, he pursued a life of health and personal growth education. He began an education of exercise science at the University of Tampa and finished at Optimal Performance Institute. While here he obtained a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and became a USA Weightlifting Coach, certified by USA Weightlifting.

While training athletes and the general public, Dr. Goetz knew there was something more. It did not make sense to work with someone long and hard to see results take the time it did at times to materialize. As some clients had to go to occupational therapy the thought of having to change ones life and persona did not make sense. Further pursuit of something (not sure what) had to be pursued.

Other coaches would discuss natural remedies from time to time. It seemed like wives tales at first until Dr. Goetz began researching certain herbs and modalities of healing.

The complaining of clients and the ego of some athletes became distracting and Dr. Goetz began a journey for something different. This was to be a 5 year vision quest.

After receiving a random email on metaphysics, Dr. Goetz did further research into this new world. Some was very odd and off center and some made sense. He wanted to learn more and pursued a masters and doctorate from the University of Sedona. Much was learned and things began fitting in and making more sense. The world of being told what to do and doing it was never appealing and now it was discovered why. Dr. Goetz was empowered with an internal power and understood how to let it work through him.

Dr. Goetz felt a calling to help others understand and learn this. He felt the best way to grow a base of others was to become a full time doctor in something which others understood more. So Dr. Goetz obtained a degree as a Naturopathic Doctor and began to use the knowledge learned as a naturopath combined with the understanding of metaphysics and the world of quantum mechanics to work with and help others around him.

As time went on Dr. Goetz began to experience "being". Acts of touch (on and off ones body) and observation began to produce significant and instant results. "Bones would realign themselves, chronic asthma would seem to disappear, scoliosis curvatures would align immediately. I have no idea what happens but it does".

Shortly after the birth of his daughter, Dr. Goetz felt it imperative to leave a lineage and way to educate his daughter so she may pass knowledge on.  Athenian Ministries was born.
